Mike started his career at the Cerebral Palsy Foundation and the Cerebral Palsy School, and earned his degree in Occupational Therapy from The Jordanian Occupational Therapy College in 1992, graduating from there to become one of the first OTs in the region.
As a pioneer in the area, Mike and his other 10 classmates then had to introduce occupational therapy to a country that had never really heard of it (!) Mike started the Jordanian Occupational Therapy Association in 1992 and became President of the Association in 1995.
Mike has founded OT departments and sensory gyms in multiple schools and establishments, and has worked in many settings, across multiple countries and states, throughout his 30+ year career.
He has also trained extensively in sensory integration and neurodevelopmental facilitation, and has been certified since 1994 in both. He has completed multiple additional trainings, courses, and workshops in the following areas:
