ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Therapy

What’s it all about?

ABA therapy uses an evidence-based approach that focuses on improving specific behaviors and skills, while reducing other behaviors that might be harmful or interfere with learning.
Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy is often most used to support individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), but it can be used to encourage positive behaviors in various other settings too.
In a nutshell, ABA therapy involves breaking down complex tasks into smaller, more manageable steps, and using positive reinforcement to encourage and teach new behaviors.

How does this therapy work?

ABA therapists will create structured learning environments and use data-driven techniques to assess, track, and modify behaviors over time.
ABA therapy is tailored to meet the unique needs of each child, and sessions are typically conducted one-on-one between the child and a trained ABA therapist.
The ultimate goal is to help children develop functional skills, improve communication, manage challenging behaviors, and increase their independence!
